Basketball has always been a big part of my life. It’s almost like I was born with a basketball in my hand. When I was younger, as a “righty”, my favorite compliment was hearing a coach yell “she’s a lefty!”. It became a bit of a challenge to myself to try to hear that each game. While I continue to be a multiple sport athlete (volleyball and track), basketball is my passion. You can find me in the gym or at my hoop in all of my spare time. I love the game, and I am very thankful for what it teaches me everyday.
It has always been my goal to play college basketball, and I will put in the work and do what it takes to be successful. I am kind, coachable, hard working, and reliable. I can lead by stepping up or from within my role amongst the team depending on what the team and the situation needs. My skill, teamwork, and dedication to the team and the sport, will make me a strong asset to any team. I am looking for a program where I can successfully contribute to the team and also pursue a strong academic career.
Leadership happens on and off the court and character matters. I demonstrate my character in all that I do. I give my time and energy fully to my passions. I am active in school, at home and in the community. As a 4.0 student, active in multiple sports and other extracurriculars, balance is a priority. Guided by my faith, I know “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Phil 4:13). That is how I make excellent choices that allow for my success, on and off the court.
I believe I am a very positive, influential athlete and person, and together we could make a great team. You just need to believe in me!
