About Lexi Day
Lexi Day is a phenomenal athlete, standing 5'8" but 6' long. Lexi reads the court like no other, understanding movement and spacing on offense, and capturing the opponent's weakness when she slices through lanes for steals on defense. Because of Lexi's versatility she is a coaches "go to girl." Lexi can hit the three and attack the rim. When the pressure is high, Lexi is clutch. She is even and consistent through any situation, but also shares her enthusiasm and passion when her teammates succeed! Lexi is an extremely intellectual young woman, ranked top in her class, with the intent to pursue orthopedic surgery as a career. Lexi's matter of fact, humble, and light nature is a joy to be around. She's the athlete everyone gets along with, and can trust. Lexi loves adventure and living on the edge, but she keeps her feet firmly grounded because of her strong family foundation. Family is by far the most important thing for Lexi. To find the right environment with a staff and teammates that treat each other with respect, care, and a sense of collective, but sensible sacrifice, would be a gift for Lexi. Don't wait too long to connect with Lexi! She is a gem. ~ Lisa Van Wyk, President of Wisconsin Blaze
Lexi Day is a special player. She is a great leader (Captain since Sophomore year), great Student (#1 in her class), great teammate (gives positive energy to everything she touches.) Lexi makes big plays in big moments, this girl wants the ball. Offensively has a lethal 3pt shot, and can counter long closeouts with a very polished floater/mid range game. Defensively she plays very mentally quick and anticipates extremely well to turn defense into offense for your team. Her mental toughness is what separates her from others. Through tough coaching, opponents making plays, difficult circumstances, Lexi responds positively, and takes her teammates with her. ~ Celeste Ratka, Girls Varsity Head Coach, Hortonville

As far as things I am looking for in college, I'd say that the most important thing for me is a strong family culture. I've grown up in a small, close-knit community and I want those close relationships to continue with my future teammates and coaches. I am overall a very family oriented person; family is everything to me. Any time spent with my family is a great one and I am so thankful for the strong relationship I have with my parents and my younger brother. Another large factor for me in search of the perfect school is a balanced student to teacher ratio. I really want to be able to know my professors well and have the ability to ask questions and know they are happy to help. Overall, when looking for a college for me, those two things are the most important. A family culture and balanced student-teacher ratio are big factors in my search for my dream school. I'm very excited to see what the future holds in terms of sports and academics and look forward to finding the perfect school for me!
