"Karissa Smith is the definition of a leader on and off the floor. She looks to involve her teammates in every play and willing to always encourage and support their efforts. Karissa's leadership is shown through her athletic plays but also the vocal aspect to her game. She steps up when her team needs her, but is also willing to play any role her coach directs her to. Karissa practices and plays at high intensity and continues to show her investment for the game by putting in work on the off days. Karissa is a player that all coaches can trust to have her make the right play and not get frustrated on mistakes. She is consistent through any situation, but also shares her enthusiasm and passion when her teammates succeed!"

FROM THE DESK OF KARISSA
I am looking for a united-family team, with coaches and teammates that I can trust, knowing they will have my back through anything! A team and coaching staff that will push me to be my best. Having a coaching staff and teammates that are dedicated to the game, and having the will to get better is my main drive for the game. Looking to get better everyday and seeing my improvements throughout time is something that drives me to keep working hard. I am a hard working kid that will do the challenges and also someone who will communicate. I bring leadership, a loud voice, and positivity to my team. I look forward to meeting you and hope to be the right fit for your university and program!
